I updated the solution to NServiceBus 6. Didn't update any other dependencies.
I'm not sure what the behavior should be. I ran the project and it worked but if I close and restart the NServiceBus process the existing there seems to be disconnecting something. I'm not sure if that is expected? I expected a more durable exchange.
While the process is down is seems I was able to send messages from the browser sessions but these didn't appear after restarting the process. I tested with the original V4 implementation and that has the same behavior.
