Want to create some kickass science poster? You have come to the right dojo

I came across the posterdown R package which could create awesome science posters. It was great, but customising certain aspects meant digging into config files and being a final year PhD scholar, I didn't have that much time. Then, I happened to tumble down a rabbit hole browsing the bird site

Mike Morrison's video on How to create a better research poster in less time got me hooked and I decided to give it a shot. Below is a scattered compilation of all the resources I went through to make my workshop poster

  4. Butter poster. This is so cool and has lots of resources. I eneded up using their template for the poster
  5. Dribble for theming
  6. Noun project and flaticon for icons
  7. BioRender for biology icons and figures
  8. Linktree for portfolio. I used the below settings for Custom appearances: a) Backgrounds - Gradient b) Direction - Gradient up c) Color - #050506 d) Soft shadow - Round one e) Button color - #120e0c f) Button font color - #edeceb g) Shadow color - #000000 h) Fonts - DM Sans i) Color - ##ffffff
