How to update

Local Wallet

Please backup your wallet.dat, ragnarok.conf & masternode.conf before you proceed

• For Linux, go to ~/.ragnarok
• For Windows, go to %appdata%/Ragnarok
• For Mac press cmd+shift+G, go to ~/Library/Application Support/Ragnarok

  1. Delete everything except these files: wallet.dat, ragnarok.conf & masternode.conf
  2. Download new release for your vps or pc below
  3. Optional: You can use bootstrap before starting the wallet
  4. Open new wallet and wait till it syncs
  5. Go to Tools > Debug Console & type getinfo. Wallet version should be : 3010400 & protocolversion: 70030

Masternode VPS

  1. log into your VPS
  2. wget -q https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ragnaproject/mnscripts/master/updateVPS.sh
  3. bash updateVPS.sh
  4. When complete, start nodes from your desktop controller wallet.
  5. on VPS check masternode status for each node, ensure it's showing status 4

How to bootstrap

  1. Close your wallet if you haven't done that already

    • For Linux, go to ~/.ragnarok
    • For Windows, go to %appdata%/Ragnarok
    • For Mac press cmd+shift+G, go to ~/Library/Application Support/Ragnarok

  2. Delete everything in that folder expect for wallet.dat, masternode.conf

  3. After that delete everything in Ragnarok folder expect for wallet.dat & masternode.conf files

  4. Download ragnarok latest boootstrap

  5. You should have a bootstrap.zip file unzip and copy all files into the folder in step 1

  6. Launch your wallet and wait for the blockchain to sync

With activation of the new protocol, the following changes will take effect:

•  Change rewards distribution for PoS/MN
•  Node can now sync without addnodes
•  Added treasury (dev fee) up to 10% (subtracted from block reward before rewards distribution)

Please update your local wallets and masternode vps before 16th of May - 21:00 (UTC), and make sure they work on the network with the 70030 protocol. (a restart from the management wallet is required)

At block 883012‬ all clients on 3.0.1.0 and below will be kicked off the network to ensure stability
