vortodivido

The hyphenation patterns for Esperanto.

This package is available on the terms of GNU General Public License version 2.0 (Free Software Foundation, 675 Mass Ave, Cambridge, MA 02139, USA).

Mozilla uses it.

Some ready-made patterns

For ebook reader programs

The file eo.pattern is ready for use with the Coolreader program. To install it you have to locate the hyph directory in the cr3 (i.e. “CoolReader v. 3”) hierarchy. E.g. in my Linux desktop it is known as /usr/share/cr3/hyph/. In Android I had to create the directory hyph in /strorage/sdcard0/.cr3/, and to put eo.pattern into it.

Note. If you modify and build eo.pattern yourself, you may find it advantageous to make a link to your git build from the hyph directory. E.g. I’ve set

$ sudo ln -s /home/sergio/git/vortodivido/eo.pattern /usr/share/cr3/hyph/Esperanto.pattern

To use the package with AlReader you need to rebuild the reader with the file.

PB641 Aqua: hyph_eo.dic → /system/adobe/hyphenDicts/ KOReader: eo.pattern → /applications/koreader/data/hyph/Esperanto.pattern cr3: eo.pattern → /system/share/cr3/hyph/Esperanto.pattern

For OpenOffice/LibreOffice

The package hyph_eo_XX.oxt can be routinely installed as normal extension via Tools→Extension Manager.

In Linux

In Linux the hyph_eo.dic patterns can be installed in a system-wide manner, so that they should be available to various users and applications (not only LibreOffice). In Ubuntu and similar distributions the system-wide location is /usr/share/hyphen/.
