  • The first version of pluck was released in 2005 under the name CMSsystem.
  • 4.2 was the first version with the name pluck, and also the first version released under the GNU General Public License.[3]
  • From 2008 to 2014 (4.5 to 4.7.1) the Pluck CMS Project was on launchpad and worked on by a team of 4 developers
  • The original developers' investment in the project slowed down, and in 2014 the source code moved from launchpad to github to allow greater participation.
