For the future use of photon, it needs better recognition. (Not only the technology counts, but also the visual radiation). We (myself and Thomas Ludwig) have designed a new brand, which fits better with Photon. This can be used for the future surface of wallets. Likewise be used in social media / exchanges / journalism.

As far as changing or updating the logo this is something myself and Blue Dragon will need to consider carefully and we may want to do so for several weeks or months. As suggested it appears you uploaded the desired new logo to wikimedia commons released under their license. Thank you. Please understand that since many exchanges and those running the pools ad other things would all need to change the logo as to not create confusion among long term community members. If I see the new logo turning up on exchanges , mining pools and other places after some time I may be inclined to change the projects logo. The preview that was sent to me looked very good. Artistic and creative. --- So please understand I cannot merge this at this time however it will be given strong consideration and by all means make wallets for yourself and your friends using the new logo. The more I see the new logo in use the more inclined I may be to merge and let it be the official logo. |

I sat down to work on this today with plans to create a branch with these images merged to the various places they need to be and i see the logo and a few of the other images are now missing from the wikimedia commons. I will leave this pull request open for a while to see if this matter can be sorted out.... My intention was to build a new windows and linux distributable wallet with these new logos and icons so some newer members of the community can have their own 'visual' version of Photon while longer term members of the community and exchanges can consider making the changes permanent. |

I am not a graphics designer but perhaps there are members of the community who could create ideas and people could vote which they prefer - obviously it wouldn't be binding but... |
