Reminders:

Save/restore context breaks this cache, so either enforce wrapping or explain it well, or don't merge
Check if it really worth. My informal benchmark (works only locally, loading versions in Iceberg) in a Macbook Pro 2018 showed speedup from 70ms to 60ms to draw 1000 times "Bloc".
