Ah. Ah, I didn't know it's just for test-test, I will put [WIP] prefix.

@suricactus , I've converted to a draft PR, just for the extra clarity ;)

Hello,

Thank you for providing this new APK file @nirvn

Unfortunately, we do not see the red square when using that APK file.

In addition, QField is dimming the screen brightness to a level which renders the screen almost black.

This test was run on an Android 9 device.

@nicolas-sitylb , have you tried opening a project? The exit button won't appear until you open a project, then re-enter the home screen.

@nirvn
Yes I first entered a project, then exited the app normally, then opening it again (I noticed I'm still logged in to the web service). I took the provided screenshot only at this last stage.

Okay, quitting the app didn't show up the red square.
But, indeed, you were correct : getting back home from an opened project makes this square appear !

Clicking on this red square then kind of "places the app in the background", showing the usual Android desktop screen.
When opening QField again, it behaves like a fresh, very-first, opening (that's cool) and then it re-ask for the user credentials when a project needs to connect to a web service.

@nicolas-sitylb , excellent that's good. Can you test it multiple times (10 times would make us feel good? :) ) to confirm that when quitting via the red square button, you are always being re-asked for credentials? Cheers.
