@onnowhere onnowhere released this 01 Sep 23:23

Your graphics must be set to Fabulous in video settings for these shaders to work.

These are a few simple example depth shader resource packs created to be used in 1.16 snapshot 20w22a and above. This release adds support for 1.19+. Keep in mind these may not be the most well written shaders as this was done quickly in the first snapshot release of depth shaders and are more for people who are curious how depth shaders work in general. Each zip file can be applied as its own resource pack.

See https://imgur.com/a/yz9rPP1 for examples uses of depth shaders (not all shaders in the album are included here).

  • Fog: shows a scaled black and white depth buffer of the world
  • Stripes: show stripes at 1 meter block intervals extending outwards from your screen using the function provided in the last post. (Last post has been modified to be in terms of block distances)
  • Distance: shows lines based on distance from camera based on a fixed FOV (70, adjustable manually via uniform _FOV). Distance formula from @Kroppeb. This shader will not account for sprinting, slowness, and flying FOV changes.
  • DoF: false depth of field shader that blurs within a user defined focus range in the shader program json
