Distribution specific installation

These are not officially endorsed by the Mosh team, and may have unknown problems. See also the supported operating systems on the Mosh web site.

Debian Squeeze via Debian Backports

  1. Add the backports repository as explained on the backports website
  2. # apt-get update
  3. # apt-get install mosh

Exherbo

  1. # cave resolve -x repository/roidelapluie
  2. # cave resolve -x net-misc/mosh

Fink (OS X)

Mosh is available for OS X 10.5+. You can install it with the following command:

  • # fink install mosh

Mageia

Mosh is available in Mageia 2. You can install it with the following command :

  • # urpmi mosh

Slackware

Mosh can now be installed by Slackware users via the Slackbuilds repository, using the following command:

  • # sbopkg -ki 'pysetuptools protobuf perl-IO-Tty mosh'

MeeGo, for Nokia N9

Cygwin on Windows
