I have issue regarding cursor. Every time I open up a new file there is a block cursor which acts as an eraser, to get normal cursor, I have to press 'S'

I have issue regarding cursor. Every time I open up a new file there is a block cursor which acts as an eraser, to get normal cursor, I have to press 'S' #283788
