Microchip LAN9255 Application Examples

Microchip LAN9255 Application Examples provide EtherCAT® and Ethernet centric projects to enable rapid development. Users can target the EVB-LAN9255 platform with this and quickly see device side IO as a network component. Code here has been generated by the design and applications team behind LAN9255. It pulls in expertise in EtherCAT and integrates using the MPLABX Harmony framework. These projects have been put through standard SQA and were used for EtherCAT conformance testing. The Ethernet project can be built with single PHY or dual port switch support – for end points or daisy chained nodes.

Prerequisites

• Microchip MPLAB® X IDE (v5.30 or later)
• Microchip MPLAB XC32 Compiler (v3.01 or later)
• LAN9255 DFP (v1.1.7 or later)
• PICkit4_TP (1.9.1151 or later)
• TwinCAT EtherCAT Master v3.1 or later. Please visit Beckhoff to download the software.
• EtherCAT Slave Stack Code (SSC) v5.12 or later. Please visit EtherCAT Technology Group to obtain this software. The EtherCAT SSC is available to ETG members free of charge.
