Additionally, we’ve published a post on Dataversity which gives a simple walkthrough of Empire and serves as a good tutorial on the basics of Empire.

The Semantic Universe article walks through the code in the examples folder, so you might find it useful to be able to work along with the source as you read the article. You can find the data used for the example linked from this blog article.
