Ticketing platforms that operate in more than one country, or with more than one "deployment".

Calypso, an ISO 7816-based smartcard standard used by Mobib, Opus and others.
Cards come in many different designs, but typically also have a contact interface. May also have a mag-stripe.

Cubic has developed the Nextfare platform, as well as other custom solutions:

Nextfare MFC, currently used by Go card, Transit Access Pass and others.
Agencies that use this have a 16 digit serial number printed or engraved on the card starting with "0160".

Nextfare MFD, currently used by Breeze, Compass, and others.
Agencies that use this have a 16 digit serial number on the card starting with "0164".

Nextfare MFU, currently used for single-use tickets on Compass, Ventra and others.
Agencies that use this have a 20 digit serial number printed on the ticket, starting with "0001". These are typically made of paper/card.

EMV, a standard used on bank cards (American Express, Mastercard, Visa and others)

ERG MFC, used by Manly Fast Ferry, Metrocard (Christchurch) and others (acquired by Vix)
Agencies that use these cards typically have ERG branding on ticket validators. Clipper has some ERG ticket validators in use, but is a different system.
