LAST UPDATED: May 2, 2015. Previous update March 18, 2015.

NEW IN THIS BUILD:

All 16 note charts implemented.
It is possible to fail songs.
Minor color / UI changes.
Bug fixes, including small notes being able to turn grey upon missing them.

This is the official GitHub repository for the latest builds of Reignite, a rhythm game featuring the violin as its primary instrument created by a small team of developers.

Reignite is based around the high school orchestra, featuring concertos, duets, and symphonies by classical composers. In this build, by navigating to Practice mode, you can play early versions of 4 songs on 4 difficulty levels. We are planning for Reignite to have between 15 and 30 playable songs spanning a story told through a one-panel comic style in four acts.

You can learn more about Reignite through our development blog, found here: http://reignite-blog.tumblr.com.

We are:

Michael Swedo, game design and programming
Deanna Sulli, art and user interface design
Robert Rojas, writing and conceptualization

We can be reached via email at reignitedev@gmail.com.

Known issues:

  1. Changing the control scheme in the Options window does not load the proper set of keys in the UI for the rhythm game. The left-hand keyboard keys are set, however, and are UIOP/7890.

  2. The "New Game" and "Load Game" buttons do not function. This is due to the main game mode not being implemented yet.

  3. The Metronome On/Off button in the menu does not make a clicking sound.

If any other issues are found, please contact us at reignitedev@gmail.com or @mcswedo on Twitter.
