About The Project

This project is a simple way to build and configure image of NixOS for OpenStack environments.
This image build an minimal NixOS distribution that support Openstack as host.

This image is updated when NixOS released a new version on their public repository here.

Getting Started

Build the image locally:

export VERSION=23.11

docker run -e VERSION -v ./config:/app -v ./run.sh:/run.sh --rm -it "nixos/nix:2.21.2" sh /run.sh

How to use this image

1. Set your OpenStack environment variables
2. Download the latest image from the repository page
3. Upload image to your OpenStack environment

   openstack image create --disk-format=qcow2 --container-format=bare --min-disk 5 --file nixos.qcow2  'NixOS'
