Impact of COVID-19 on Airport Travel in the United States and Canada

Data Visualization Project for DSC465: Data Visualization at DePaul University
Highlights: Ridgeline Plots, Violin Plots

Comparsion of the impact of COVID-19 on airport travel in the United States and Canada. Visualizing the impact of lockdown and restrictions on airport traffic volume at major airports from March 2020 through December 2020. Leading the group, this project explores visualization techniques between countries across time, between states and provinces, by city and by airport. My focus included a ridgeline plot to compare the distributions between the two countries by month and violin plots to compare the distributions by state and province using custom color schemes and visualization techniques in ggplot2.

The dataset comes from Kaggle with data from Geotab Inc.
