Leaflet plugins for ArcGIS Services. Currently Esri Leaflet supports loading Esri basemaps and feature services, as well as tiled map, dynamic map and image services.
The goal of Esri Leaflet is not to replace the ArcGIS API for JavaScript, but rather to provide small components to allow developers to build mapping applications with Leaflet.
We've written loads of demos showing many of the features of Esri Leaflet.
Here is a quick example to get you started. Just copy/paste into your own .html file and run.

- Fork and clone Esri Leaflet
cdinto theesri-leafletfolder- Install the dependencies with
npm install - Run
npm run servefrom the command line. This will compile minified source in a brand newdistdirectory, launch a tiny webserver and begin watching the raw source for changes. - Run
npm testto make sure you haven't introduced a new 'feature' accidently. - Make your changes and create a pull request
- If you're interested in playing around with our website locally, just make sure you have GruntCLI installed and run
grunt. This will start the web server locally at http://localhost:8001 and start watching the website source files for changes.

Esri Leaflet 1.x (available on CDN) can be used in apps alongside:
- Leaflet version 0.7.x.

Esri Leaflet 2.x (available on CDN) can be used in apps alongside:
- Leaflet version 1.0.0-beta1.
The master branch of this repository is only compatible with Leaflet 1.0.x.
For transparency into the release cycle and in striving to maintain backward compatibility, Esri Leaflet is maintained under the Semantic Versioning guidelines and will adhere to these rules whenever possible.
Releases will be numbered with the following format:
<major>.<minor>.<patch>
And constructed with the following guidelines:
- Breaking backward compatibility bumps the major while resetting minor and patch
- New additions without breaking backward compatibility bumps the minor while resetting the patch
- Bug fixes and misc changes bumps only the patch
