Miracast basis

Miracast Source = Sender

major products: Android phone / tablet, PC(WiDi)

Miracast Sink = Receiver

major products: HDMI Dongle, Supported TV, in addition my patch enabled Sink on Android phone / tablet!

Requirements

• Wi-Fi Direct (P2p)
  • many custom roms broken Wi-Fi Direct on KK
• Hardware encoder for h.264 (Source)
• High Power CPU
  • real time screen capturing, encoding, wifi transfer (Source)

Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct

rename failed, because Wi-Fi Direct disabled.

How to use Source?

• Android 4.4

1. Settings -> Wifi ON
2. Settings -> Display -> Screencast -> (option) Checked Enable Wireless Display
3. Search Sink via P2p, Select, Connect

How to use Sink?

• Android 4.4 with Sink patch

1. Settings -> Wifi ON
2. (option) Settings -> Wi-Fi -> (menu) Wi-Fi Direct -> Rename Device -> (input device name)
3. Settings -> Display -> Screencast -> (option) Checked Enable Wireless Display
4. Apps -> Mira4U -> Launch Sink Daemon Activity -> Wait Source via P2p
