This page has information about releases.

When is the next release?

That's an excellent question, but due to the fact that the developer(s) or TicGit-ng are working on it in their spare time, scheduling any kind of release schedule and trying to stick to it would be an unnecessary burden. Instead, we will release the next version when the features that have been planned for that release are ready, the Next-Release page contains information about which features are planned for the upcoming release.

How do the version numbers work?

The version numbers are to be interpreted as 1.0.2.3 where 1 is the current major release number which is only incremented when the next version breaks backwards compatability with previous versions, 0 is the interface version number which is only incremented when large changed to the TicGit interface are introduced, 2 is the feature version number which is incremented with the introduction of new features, and 3 is the patch number indicating how many patches have been applied, this number is incremented with every bugfix.
