Without taking a position on this particular issue, I'd like to understand the governance model for this repo.

As I understand the IESG's statement on inclusive language (https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/statement-iesg-iesg-statement-on-inclusive-language-20210511/), the policy is to follow NISTIR8366, and it seems (relatively) straightforward to assess whether a proposed change matches that policy.

However, if people propose to extend the list to go beyond what's in the aforementioned NIST document, it's not clear to me who is the decision maker for a given proposal.
