Hello 🇺🇸

My name is George and I'm a software-engineer, for some years now.

I'm a geographer by trait 🌎 and, I started my career developing software for Geographic Information Systems.

During this time I've developed all kinds of software, using several languages, databases and tools. My preferred language is Python, but I've worked with C# and JavaScript.

I've worked in all kinds of companies, big, small, startups, multi-nationals and I was a partner at my own software-house.

I enjoy doing software architecture and making complex features easy, through good design.

I've mentored big and small teams and I'm an effective technical leader.

I live in Florianópolis - SC e in my free time you will find me doing barbecues, tables and chairs, maybe even both at the same time. Reading and Magic: The Gathering is something that I also enjoy.

Meu nome é George e sou engenheiro de software, já há alguns anos.

Sou geógrafo de formação 🌎 e comecei a minha carreira desenvolvendo software para Sistemass de Informações Geográficas.

Durante este tempo desenvolvi todo tipo de software, utilizando diversas linguagens, bancos de dados e ferramentas. Minha linguagem preferida é Python, mas já trabalhei com C# e JavaScript.

Já trabalhei em empresa grande, pequena, startup, multinacional e fui sócio da minha própria software-house.

Gosto de arquitetura de software e simplificar funcionalidades complexas através de um bom design.

Já mentorei times grandes e pequenos e sou um líder técnico efetivo.

Moro em Florianópolis - SC e nas horas vagas vai encontrar fazendo churrasco, mesas e cadeiras ou até mesmo os dois ao mesmo tempo. Ler e Magic: The Gathering são hobbies que gosto bastante.
