Since the Ganga 8.0.0 release, Ganga requires Python 3.6 or greater. Most modern Linux distributions come with it pre-installed.

If you are using Ganga from CVMFS then you do not need to worry. The Ganga installation points to a Python 3.6 installation with LCG (although you will need to make sure sft.cern.ch is mounted).

For other installations you need a python3 executable in your PATH which Ganga will use.
