Can you submit the patch upstream (libfetch in base as well, if not done?) |
i am working on that, have emailed the maintainer of libfetch. Since i am not a contributer i dont know any other way. you have any better suggestion how to get around? |
Usually you open a PR (https://bugs.freebsd.org) and/or mail maintainer des@ in the case of libfetch, do not hesitate to CC me (bapt@) |
okay, on it. |
okay. posted this: Correct? |
hello @bapt - no action on the libfetch case. i have emailed Mr. Smørgrav on two different addresses, but no success so fare. He might be off on vacation. I guess we will have to wait after aug. perhaps. |
ok to test |
Can one of the admins verify this patch? |
PR 220468 closed, committed to FreeBSD main here https://cgit.freebsd.org/src/commit/?id=345c30a94f6425954163f1e0b075a75f603d27cd |
I guess this can be closed now that pkg moved to libcurl instead of libfetch. |
The patch needs probably some amendment, i patched the base-libfetch first to make it work with the fetch command - and then figured out that pkgng was compiling libfetch into the binary.
The patch allows a challange reponse on 407 towards a CONNECT Tunnel over proxy connection.
