Remove trailing whitespace from lines

I noticed most files had a few lines with trailing whitespace, so I went through the repository with
find ./ -type f -print0 | xargs -0 sed -E -i 's/\s+$//g'
to remove such whitespace.

Oh yeah, please let's have that. But it should be rebased for v5.5 branch, as well.
