Important

Before you can get started using the DRO-Matic OS, it is VERY important to know that this started out as a DIY project, so the actual dosing hardware this OS controls is not commercially available. You too will need to build the doser on your own before this OS even beings to make sense. If you are looking for information and examples of the actual doser hardware requirements and construction you can do so by going to our dosing hardware wiki page found here.

Congratulations

If you have in fact already have finished building your dosing hardware, then I say well done! You have made it very far, so now let me help you finish the project by presenting the DRO-Matic OS!

1) Format SD

First, lets format our MicroSD card using any OS of choice and then plug the SD card into your Arduino SD card adapter. Now you are ready to download a copy of the DRO-Matic OS from here on github.

2) Compile OS

Once downloaded, open up the DROMatic.ino file with either your own IDE (visual studio for example) or Arduino IDE. Compile/Upload the DROMatic.ino to your Arduino Mega 2560 and you should be ready to go.

3) Create Crop

The very first screen the DRO-Matic OS will present to you (with on a freshly formatted SD card) will be to create your first crop.

Use the LCD keypad's up, down, left and right buttons to scroll through alpha/numerical characters and name your crop. Once you have your desired name, scroll to "done" and press select to finish building your first crop. Building a crop can take up to about 20 - 30 seconds so please do not cut power to Arduino.

Once your first crop has been built you should be presented with your corp's home screen where you are given a HUD of the current time/date, EC/PPM, and PH levels of your target water.
