Project-32

Duration: November, 21st - December, 5th

Description:

  • This project's purpose is to estimate the number of people who would like to use Mathematica during their studies at the Innopolis University.
  • You can participate iff you are an Innopolis student.
  • Moreover, if you are taking the DE and Physics courses now, you may earn up to 5 DE points and up to 3 Physics points for an accepted project!
  • As an outcome, we expect to (a) create a community of students who know how to apply Mathematica and (b) obtain a set of beautiful models, from which one can study capabilities of this Computer Algebra System.

Suggested projects

Rules:

Choosing a problem

  • As you can see, the project lasts only for two weeks. Hence, you probably won't be able to implement something extremely difficult, and some parts of Mathematica may not work at a certain stage.
  • Though you are allowed to eventually submit one project only, you can change your project at any moment if there is another available project (its name in the Suggested projects will contain no links).
  • Anyway, if you want to choose some project, contact any repo owner in Telegram! Write your current project's name (if you have already booked any) and which one do you want to choose. Do not forget to send the link to your project's repository! We will change links so that your new project in Suggested projects looks "booked" and points to your repository.

Goals

  • Simple: calculate the answer, if possible, and show the solution flow in Wolfram language. This can give you 2 DE points max.
  • Advanced: model the solution, visualize, and make it interactive! Earn 3 DE points and 3 Physics points more for a cool work.

Implementation

  • Your code must be written in Mathematica exclusively.
  • You may use Mathematica's Free Trial version for the duration of the project.
  • The main notebook should contain the name of your project, your name and surname, your goal. Please be as clear as possible!
  • Comment code! Comment code!! Comment code!!! Later, people may want to learn from your masterpieces!
  • A couple of projects made by us will be uploaded by the start of the project. Take a look at them.
  • Note that if we do not explicitly state something, you choose what to do on your own.

Review

  • We would prefer a live-review. We hope it will not take more than 15 minutes per a person.
  • We will add to this project's repository all accepted works by the end of the project.

Contacts

  • You may join the project's group in Telegram. "We encourage vigorous discussion and cooperation" ©
  • Additionally, you may contact either repo owner: Danila or Zakhar.
