There are probably much better ways of implementing this. If you know one, why not update the project? fadingtextview is an iOS skeleton project that demonstrates a UITextView with a backgound solid colour that has two small (5% view height) views superimposed on top of it. Both the small views have a gradient layer applied to them. the effect is that any text that scrolls in the text view appears to fade at both the top and bottom of the text view. Also demonstrated is FadingContentScrollView which will operate either vertically or horizontally. If you run the project on an iPhone or iPhone simulator you will see a FadingTextView; if you run against an iPad or iPad simulator you will see several examples of FadingContentScrollViews damien.laughton@mobilology.co.uk
About
I saw a lovely text scroll effect in London Unfurled and wondered if I could reproduce it.
