GHC-Scholarships

Comprehensive list of student scholarships for the Grace Hopper Celebration for Women in Computing held every October. This list aims to cover all relevant scholarships, even if they apply to specific sub-groups (LGBTQ+, specific country, etc) to enable as many students to attend GHC as possible!

2017 Scholarships

Scholarship Opens Deadline Results Released Eligibility
Disney: Tech Behind the Magic Experience, Fall 2017 July 20, 2017 August 11, 2017 You must: (a) be 18 years of age or older by October 1, 2017; (b) be a legal resident of the 48 continental U.S. or D.C., (c) be currently enrolled in an accredited, degree-granting program at an academic institution on a full- or part-time basis in October 2017; and (d) pursuing a degree in computer science, computer engineering or related field.
Google Travel Grant Application: 2017 Grace Hopper Conference July 10 Approximately 8 - 10 weeks prior to the date of the conference Applicants must be university students and industry professionals in the US and Canada who are excelling in computing and passionate about supporting women in tech
Accenture Grace Hopper Scholarship Week of 6/19 July 10th at 5:00pm EDT Applicants must be enrolled full time in a Bachelors program at a four-year college or university in the United States or Canada at the time the application is submitted. The scholarship is open to students pursuing Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM field. You must be at least 18 years of age by October 1, 2017. You must currently have a 3.0 cumulative grade point average out of a possible 4.0, or a 4.0 cumulative grade point average out of a possible 5.0.
Yext Grace Hopper Scholarship August 1, 2017 at 12:00pm EDT early September The Yext sponsorship is designed to identify and support extraordinary rising college juniors (Class of 2019), seniors (Class of 2018), and graduate students who are preparing for a career in the Technology sector. Future Software Engineers, Product Managers, Project Managers, and UX/Visual Web Designers are encouraged to apply!
GRA-W GHC Research Scholars Program Aug 15 This scholarship is given to undergraduate students, who identify as a woman, in the computer science and engineering field, who have completed at least one year of undergraduate study. Must attend a US institution or be a US citizen/permanent resident studying abroad.
 
Facebook GHC Scholarship April 15 June 19 July 15 Enrolled at an educational institution (high school through post-doc students)
NCWIT GHC17 Travel Grant May 12 June 16 July 7 A member of the NCWIT Aspirations in Computing Community, reside in the United States of America or be a US citizen residing in Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands, Guam or on US Military Bases, US citizen or permanent resident with a valid Green Card and have a valid US Social Security number, at least 18 years old, not attending high school, not immediate family (including spouses, siblings, children, grandchildren and persons residing in the same household) of employees, extended staff, contractors or board members of NCWIT.
ABI Hoppers Program May 13 May 31 July 7 Work multiple shifts, up to eight non-consecutive hours spread over the three days of GHC. Attend an orientation and commit to assigned shifts.
Microsoft Conference Scholarships March 2 May 5 June 1 Bachelor’s, master's or PhD student at a four-year college or university in the United States, Canada or Mexico
Best ACM-W Officer Contest May 15 Week of June 5 ACM-W Officers
GHC Conference Scholarship January 25 March 8 May 10 Full time student in an accredited degree program at a college or university at the time of the conference
