I'd like to see this too. I'm about to go implement my own solution...

If you'd like to contribute your solution to Core Plot, I'd be happy to help make sure it fits in with the rest of the framework. If not, it's good to hear about interest in specific feature requests. It helps prioritize work on new features.

Having revisited this project may finally have a definitive version of CPTPolarPlots, axis, spaces etc. github swainwri branch. Updated Core Gallery to show a example Polar Plot, tap on any radial label will toggle between degs and radians, whilst tapping on any major/minor axis label will toggle from linear scale to logmodulus.

I'm curious why the Contour classes are written in C++ rather than Objective-C like the rest of the project. Other than that, it looks good and you should submit a pull request.

I've only just come to terms with creating a github repository and uploading altered/new files. It appears in my ignorance (splendid isolation) everybody requires this. In my own slow time(my first program was a f77 quadratic equation solver on Hollerith cards) I will research what a pull request means. I have tried to add to core-plot selfishly to satisfy my needs initially and then attempt to make these additions globally available, but the sophistication of coreplot makes necessary hacking time consuming.

OK I understand a little bit more now. Over the years I have been using coreplot, I have added many enhancements that have improved the user interaction with coreplot for my particular projects. I could therefore make 10s of pull requests, perhaps it would be better to go to swainwri/coreplot/release2.4 download the zip and search for // Added S.Wainwright or just my name, and I think that any enhancement will become obvious.
