The Universal Dotfile Preprocessor is designed to help with dotfile repos meant to be used between several computers. This allows embending conditional statements and scripts into dotfiles (or really any plain text file).

This is designed to be used inside of a git repository, but it is not required to be used that way. A sample repo will be created later to show how to setup the recommended git repository layout for your own config file repositry.
