REGIONS is a command-line program for the GNU operating system that performs operations on geographic `regions.

`regions in our case are GMT-style region strings; e.g. -R<west>/<east>/<south>/<north>

regions [OPTION]... -R<region> -R<region>... 
Manipulate regions.

  -R, --region          the input region ( xmin/xmax/ymin/ymax )
  -b, --buffer          buffer the region by value
  -e, --echo            echo the (processed) region(s)
  -m, --merge           merge the input region(s)
  -n, --name            echo the (processed) region(s) as a name-string

      --verbose         increase the verbosity.
      --help            print this help menu and exit.
      --version         print version information and exit.
