md-content to take 100% of the available vertical height

It would be a nice feature if md-content takes 100% of the available vertical space. Currently I am using the current offset and height of the window for setting the height of the md-content.

Can you use layout-fill on the parent, then flex on the md-content?

In my scenario, the data in the md-content is more than screen height. I want the scroll bar to be shown for the md-content. Based on the available height, I want the md-content to stretch and then have a scrollbar,

@sondreb 's solution only works for me if I removed the fixed height I had set on md-content. Problem is when I remove that md-content does not scroll.
