Desired functionality

I would like the file environment.ts to take the values from environment.prod.ts
right now production: false remains false

I can see that the values are replaced correctly.

I'm having the same issue with npm build --prod and I user the same configuration.

I found the problem.I'm using the angular-cli with npm .For passing arguments to command,we need use like that npm run ng build -- --prod.Note the necessary --.
