phonecat_webapi

This project is playground to learn angular js, express js and node js also interactions with other components such as DB (couch), angular modules ..etc. It's a simple angularjs application example based on Phonecat tutorial from angularjs.org (http://docs.angularjs.org/tutorial) The differences with the original is :

• it adds a CouchDB persistence layer backed with an express.js Web API that supports CRUD operations
• it provides the ability to edit and save the phones just clicking the properties
• you can also add new phone images simply drag and dropping them

To run it you need

• Node.js
• CouchDB running at localhost:5984 (default)

Start the application

verify CouchDB runs run node web-server.js from the working directory

remarks

• DB and data will be automatically populated to CouchDB the first time you start the application
• Go to localhost:3000 to see the app runing
• WEB Api is at localhost:3000/phones/:phoneid
