Hello!

Just installed WinLua Release 2 on a fresh Win7-64 machine.

There was error window at start about missing vcruntime140.dll.

Fixed by downloading and installing Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable (x86) - 14.0.24123.

I think readme will improve by adding some words about fixing this possible problem.

Also there is inconsistent naming:
image

  • two WinLua folders
  • Lua 5.1 <suffix> and Lua <suffix>
  • what is LuaPrgMen ?

Anyway using this distribution is easier than manually placing binaries somewhere, modifying PATH and creating shortcuts. Thank you for your work!

Hi! Sorry my response took so long. I appreciate you testing the installer. I'll work on a bootstrapper for the MSCV redist.

I think LuaPrgMen is LuaProgram Menu. I'll have to look at why that didn't work (and if it's even necessary) and clean up the structure. The idea with the inconsistent Lua shortcut names was that "Lua 5.1" would always be 5.1 and "Lua" would always be current. Hindsight says that's a bad idea. 👍
