WeClimb.it is a search engine for climbers and outdoors lovers. It does contain a huge catalog of crags, shelters, hikes, places, competitions, and news.
The information are crawled all around the WWW periodically, thanks to specialized bots (à la Google). The source of every single item is guaranteed and shown in the form of a Metalink in the items lists.
Once in our system, data gets normalized following certain internal rules. This is still perfectible.
The platform follows the GraphQl paradigm. The Front-end is made in Angular. The Back-end is made in Node.js (TypeScript) + Express + Apollo Server.
