I have no idea what uses jcenter and if it is safe to remove...
I read that jcenter will remain readonly indefinitely.
It has been a long time since I actively maintained this repo so I need eyes in the field.
Did you rebuild from scratch and run the project? Even after gradlew stop/clear cache whatever?

Sorry if I discouraged you.
Since I am not part of the RN ecosystem any longer I am weary of changing config w/o testing and building.
