About The Project

The project tracks the prevalence of hunting in the U.S. from 1960 to 2020. The decades long decline of hunting is described in the research and has long term implications for conservation of wildlife and its habitat. Through licensing fees and gun sales, hunters fund a large portion of conservation efforts at the state level.

Built With

The project relies primarily on R and rmarkdown. A new twist in documentation was the addition of the citr package for creating the bibliography.
