An interface to the “pastery.net” API in Emacs (kata/exercise)

The code started as “A (to be) quick and dirty elisp interfacing with the pastery API” and evolved over time:

  • from the simple mode, to be tested with a mock pastery for testing purposes (in order to do TDD)
  • to the mode plus the creation of an ersatz pastery server for testing that mostly works
  • and finally, to the creation of a replacement of the service in Emacs LISP

The basic idea is that I will create the service as a replacement to be used stand-alone, and the Emacs mode will be able to connect to either the web version or the local one.

By the way, make sure to check the actual Pastery: it’s pretty neat!

Disclaimer

I do not own the Pastery web service and neither I’m affiliated with it.

I am not aiming at providing a professional tool of sorts: this is just meant as an exercise to interface with external API with Emacs and test/mock web-services.
