Commit vs. Push

Following on Glenn's input, I have searched online about best practices and norms on how and when to use "commit" vs. "push". So far, I didn't find a definitive answer to this question. There is an interesting discussion in Quora that I have added to the readme.md file (Branch 1). I open this issue for us to collect more ideas and sources of info on this issue.
