IndigiShare was developed during the Hack the Crisis New Zealand event, a 48-hour Innovation Challenge held 100% online over one weekend: 17-19 April 2020. The initiative is to build a platform in response to the COVID 19 Level 4 Lockdown in New Zealand by Māori (Indigenous New Zealand) for Māori.
