  • Replaces TPCast connection wizard software with a VirtualHere based solution running on Raspbian Stretch.
  • Enables use of the on-board microphone and auxiliary USB port of the HTC Vive, and on-board microphone of the Oculus Rift.

  • Added support for updating VirtualHere USB Server to the latest version through the web control panel, and added VirtualHere USB Server licensing and service status details.
  • Added custom event handler to Lighthouse FPGA RX to alleviate grey screen issues for some Vive users.
  • Added web API for querying VirtualHere and OpenTPCast software information. These can be accessed with http://<tpcast-ip-address>/api/info/opentpcast and http://<tpcast-ip-address>/api/info/virtualhere respectively.
  • OpenTPCast Control Panel will now display a notification and auto-refresh the browser while the TPCast is rebooting after making changes.
  • Added installed OpenTPCast version to footer bar in control panel.

  • Confirmed support for TPCast for Oculus Rift, including support for the on-board microphone.
  • Improved 802.11ac Wi-Fi support on US/EU variants of TPCast for HTC Vive.
  • Added support for streaming the HTC Vive camera over HTTP which can be displayed with your VR overlay software of choice. Please refer to the Using The OpenTPCast Camera Service guide for more information.
    • This service is disabled by default and can be enabled through the new web control panel.
    • While enabled, the camera feed can be accessed via http://tpcast.local:8080/?action=stream.
    • Added a web control panel (accessed in a web browser via http://tpcast.local or http://<tpcast-ip-address>) that supports editing of Wi-Fi credentials and managing the Camera Service (for HTC Vive).
  • Added web API to remotely control the Camera Service, intended for custom VR overlay application support.
  • /boot/opentpcast.txt configuration file can now be edited with Windows Notepad without causing compatibility issues.
