Summary
The present PR adds a few new image recipes for packages such as mendeleev, datamol and lammps. It also removes the default non-root user from all image recipes in favor of using root (UID/GID = 0) in order to avoid the mounted drive permission nightmare at the cost of security exposure. See here for a decade-long debate over this issue.
