Welcome to the Soundscapy wiki!

What is Soundscapy for?

Soundscapy is an open source python library for analysing and visualising soundscape assessments. It is based on the work by the Soundscape Indices (SSID) team at University College London (UCL).

Soundscapy has two primary purposes:

The first is to enable researchers to easily process and visualise data collected from soundscape surveys. These can be in-situ surveys, lab studies, online listening studies, etc. as long as they make use of the soundscape circumplex and the ISO 12913 questionnaire.

The second purpose is to enable psychoacoustic and ecoacoustic analysis of binaural recordings, which are a crucial part of modern soundscape studies.
