This update adds new functionality to mleLogit.

If you click the upper-right switch to "Formal" and scroll down past the main graph, a new, gray-shaded panel named "Graphs: lnL vs. Parameter Values" will appear. The panel is minimized, by default, and can be expanded by clicking the maximize icon at the new panel's upper right corner.

Expanding the panel shows two graphs:

  1. Left graph: displays the log-likelihood's value on the y-axis vs. possible aHat values on the x-axis. The user's current guess for aHat's value is plotted as a small red circle. To plot this graph in two dimensions, b1Hat's value is held constant at the user's current guess, as noted in the small blue pill-shaped subtitle above the graph.
  2. Right graph: displays the log-likelihood's value on the y-axis vs. possible b1Hat values on the x-axis. The same comments as above apply if you swap "b1Hat" for "aHat". Here, aHat's value is held constant at the user's current guess.
