We can now use
./screenfetch-dev -A Kubuntu

The issue has been approached on whether I should include flavors' artwork before. I'm on the fence on this one, so I'll come back to it. :)

This will probably end up getting pushed in, but I may not ever make a detection method for it.

:) No worries! I understand adding flavors will need to be mulled over.

Let me know if you plan to push it but need any more work on this. If this
needs a detection method, I could give it a shot later. Although, having it
without detection seemed suitable for flavors at that time.

Thanks!

@spacetime - question(s):
Just wondering how you made your Kubuntu logo for 'screenfetch'???
Do you use a jpg to ascii art tool or something similar and then convert/import it into 'screenfetch'?
I have been working on detecting 'Chrome OS' for my Chromebooks in 'screenfetch' and have that part working(ish) but can't come up with a good way to make a decent ascii logo. I have jpegs, svg's, etc. but can't find a good way to convert and import them into 'screenfetch'.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanx,
-DennisL

Yes, I used a jpg to ASCII converter first. The important part was producing an image small enough to be properly displayed. I then colored it manually and tweaked it at places I felt it looked better.

Okay, thanx for the reply; sounds like it's mostly a manual process though

  • bummer!

100% of my ASCII logos are all from scratch. I just look at the image and try to get it as close as possible.

Closing this. I think this would be the right place to discuss about flavor distro arts.
