Chatty App is a simple, single page application allowing two users to chat with one another. Once connected, users can communicate through the server, change their names, and view the total number of connected users in the chat room.
The application is built from the Lighthouse Labs boiler plate for React.
- Fork this repository, then clone your fork of this repository.
- Install dependencies using the
npm installcommand. - Start the web server using the
npm startcommand. The app will be served at http://localhost:3000/. - Start the socket server in a separate terminal window using the
npm startcommand in the chatty_server folder. - Go to http://localhost:3000/ in your browser.
