Files in this folder are helpers to prepare data for use with MaxEnt. Specifically:
Python Script that requests an example raster file, a folder containing raster files to convert, and an output file to place them. The script translates the input layers from their source file format to an ASC file format, ensures the cells overlap[ exaclty in location and cell size, and resamples teh source raster layer to match the new raster size. The script DOES NOT reproject the raster layer.
A batch file written to take accept one input parameter and convert the file to match a specific area for an analysis.
In this case we were downsampling highr resolution data to 1km scall data in Albers Equal Area Conic. The script converst the data to a tif and then the tif to an asc file (required by MaxEnt).
This script would need to be modified to be reused but the core pieces ould ne the same. look up gdalwarp for defintions of the parameters.
