ICT4D.at News Android Application

This Android application combines ICT4D news from various sources into one single application. It conects to Wordpress APIs and RSS feeds to presents the results in one streamlined list. The goal is to unify all ICT4D news into one application. This Android application is developed by ICT4D.at and is open to anyone for participation. Main developers in alphabetical order are:

Supported News Feeds and Sources

The following alphabetically orded list of news sources is included in the application:

  • Appropriating Technology - Blog from Tony Roberts, fellow in the Digital & Technology team at the Institute for Development Studies at the University of Sussex in the UK.
  • Chris Blattman - Blog from Chris Blattman, development economist at the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago. Focus is on development, but he's young and hip and offers great perspective on local technology interventions.
  • CIPES - Promoting Effective and Inclusive ICT Policy in Africa.
  • Digital Impact Alliance - Advancing an inclusive digital society
  • Digital@DAI - A relatively new but well-written blog covering recent technologies, experiments with tech solutions, and reviews.
  • DIODE - The “Development Implications of Digital Economies” (DIODE) strategic network researches the digital economy – that part of economic output derived solely or primarily from digital technologies – and its role in developing countries.
